Description

“The Fleeting” is a surreal painting made in 2025.

The oil painting, 100 × 100 cm, depicts two children — a boy and a girl — floating lightly in the air, hands intertwined, as if swept up by a whirlwind of falling autumn leaves. Their gesture and the lightness of their movement evoke a dance in flight, joyful and slightly wild, like play in the wind. The scene is rendered in warm, golden-red autumn tones, full of light and dynamism. The figures radiate carefreeness and spontaneity, reminding the viewer of the strength of bonds and the freedom of childhood, which can lift one above the everyday.

In the lower part of the painting, reflected in the calm water, the same pair appears — but now as elderly adults. The contrast between the children floating above and the mature figures in the reflection gives the work a profound symbolic dimension. The motif of autumn is interpreted in two ways: as a time of passing, but also as a period of beauty, fulfillment, and gratitude for shared moments.

The painting’s style aligns with magical realism and figurative painting, enriched with elements of a fantastical landscape. Subtle traces of Impressionism can also be found, visible in the luminosity of the colors and the softness of the brushstrokes. The work is executed with great precision and attention to detail, enhancing its poetic and evocative character.

The Fleeting is a painting about the cycle of life — transience and endurance, youth and old age, play and reflection. Despite the theme of passing time, the composition radiates joy and lightness — a dance lifted by the wind, where the carefreeness of childhood meets the wisdom of age.

Each painting is created only once, it is unique.
Original works, apart from aesthetic values and a deep message, have a high collector’s value.
