Description
“Mirror” is a surreal painting made in 2025.
An oil painting, 90 × 100 cm, presents an extraordinary, symbol-laden scene unfolding on a beach. On the left stands a girl, beside whom rests a powerful, majestic polar bear. Their gazes are directed toward a tall mirror. Yet the reflection reveals an entirely different reality — instead of the great animal, a small teddy bear appears next to the girl, a sign of childhood sensitivity, innocence, and the inner world of emotions. On the other side of the mirror sits a boy, whose eyes meet the girl’s — as if he were seeing deeper than everyday perception allows.
At the center of the mirror opens a radiant gateway resembling a door. It connects both worlds along a single line of sea and horizon, merging them and showing that realities can coexist, interpenetrating and completing one another.
On the sand lie fragments of the broken mirror, reflecting the sky and clouds. This serves as a symbolic sign of the collapse of illusions, the moment of transition — a step beyond the boundary of fear, toward deeper understanding and new awareness.
The work powerfully depicts the interpenetration of worlds and the vision beyond the veil of the ego. The mirror and the luminous door become a gateway to another dimension — to a realm where rationality meets intuition, and consciousness opens to spiritual understanding. The contrast between the majestic, real bear and the small, soft teddy bear highlights the interplay of strength and fragility, adulthood and childhood, reality and imagination.
It is a painting about crossing boundaries, about the courage to see more and deeper. It is also a story of encounter — with oneself and with another human being, of perceiving other perspectives and recognizing that an infinite number of worlds exist, blending into one another.
The artist creates a vision rooted in magical realism and symbolism. The light, colors, and delicacy of brushstrokes give the work a poetic dimension, while maintaining precision and detail that render fantasy tangible and real.
Each painting is created only once, it is unique.
Original works, apart from aesthetic values and a deep message, have a high collector’s value.
